Annual Shrimp Boil

Warm weather is finally returning back to SPI as the days are suppose to be in the 80's now.  We deserve it.  On Tuesday Linda and Bill Gerling with friends hosted the annual "Shrimp Boil".  As always, you can't beat gulf shrimp.  Here are a few pictures to enjoy.  BTW it was only in the 30's and low 40's all day.  But the food was warm, plentiful and super good as always!!

With the last of the cold weather and strong north wind hanging around, Bill had the insight to get a step van to boil the shrimp in - this was the cats meow.  Good Thinking!

Getting ready to do the boil.  They really did work hard - just taking a breather????
Where's the beer?
Lots of supervisors to make sure the shrimp was done JUST right.  Is that a stop watch - YUP!  Wow you guys are good!
Joan and Linda - All set inside - bring it on!
 Here's the Texas Gulf Shrimp!
OK Carol - stop taking pictures - people are ready to eat.

Come and get it.  Shrimp, red potatoes, carrots, cole slaw, rolls and tons of desserts - yum yum!
Keep going Bill - Pile them shrimp on!
Over 80 people enjoyed the boil.
Of course - we all left hungry - Yeah Right!

At the end - approximately $350.00 from ticket sales were donated to the KOA Kids Care Camp.  What a great idea - making a difference in the life of a child with cancer.  Check out their site!!
